![]() Spanish for: what's the matter or what's happened? You might have noticed some significant delays over the last couple of months, and a few things slipping through the cracks. Why? In short, it's mostly because my dear Dad died. Dad and I were very close. He passed away in hospital on 30 September 2015 a few days after having a massive stroke. To be honest, it pulled the rug from under me and I've been reeling. If you haven't lost a loved one close to you, you can imagine what it may be like, but nothing prepares you for the awful reality. So, between dealing with my own grief, supporting Mum and organising her care, sorting out their house, selling their car... well, things have suffered a bit. In addition we doubled in size... so it has been a learning curve for me and my staff, and frankly, we've dropped the ball on several occasions. I really am very sorry for this and do apologise for any inconvenience. But it's made me realise that EpsomTax.com is still too dependent on me. So here's what I'm doing: 1. Taking on a Practice Manager. He'll be taking over the day to day running of the practice and projects, which means that your jobs get done on time, and frees me to focus on helping you grow your investment portfolio 2. New Admin person. Our new Admin person will be in the office 4 hours a day, meaning that projects and queries can be handled in a timely manner 3. Review of systems and processes, looking for improvements. If you have a suggestion and it's not listed here, I would love to hear it. There is a form here which takes 30 seconds to fill out.
